Connect with Mil

Mil Truscott is a fully registered psychologist with over 8 years of professional experience across private practice and tertiary sector settings. Throughout her career, she has worked with adolescents and adults presenting with a broad range of psychological concerns, with particular experience in mood disorders, grief and loss, substance use, life transitions such as the perinatal period, and more recently a focus on the journey of those with breast cancer.

Mil's clinical practice is grounded in established, evidence-based modalities. Mil has undertaken extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness- and compassion-based approaches, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Her work is further informed by trauma-informed principles and contemporary integrative frameworks, supporting nuanced, formulation-driven care tailored to individual presentations. 

Mil considers herself an ally of the LGBtQIA+ and Indigenous communities, undertaking additional training to increase knowledge around service provision to these communities. As a neurodiverse woman she appreciates personally; and has undertaken training to provide Neurodiverse affirming practices. 

Qualifications

Mil holds a Masters of Professional Psychology, A Bachelor of Psychological Science Honours, a Graduate Diploma in psychology and from another era  - a  Bachelor of Arts (Photography major). In addition to her private clinical work, she consults for Odyssey Victoria.

She is a fully registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and full member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
